fear and obnoxious heckling in the heartland of Amerika
Many thanks to the poster. Compared to other GYBE shows I've downloaded from the archive, the sound quality is fair, with a barely noticable static hum, muted higher frequencies and a few warbles. The band seems to be very slightly off on a few tracks, though Dead Metheny is extremely driven and Rockets Fall is especially beautiful here. Most interesting to me, although the band typically avoids banter and sticks with playing music in order to avoid throwing obstacles between the art and the audience, d2t03 is a rare instance of commentary from the stage, and the events related are troubling and unfortunate.
